As-built
An important part of any network build is to provide accurate records of how it was put together, as this can often differ from an original plan due to blockages or other unforeseen factors. These as-built records provide proof for accurate accounting, and vital information for seamless future maintenance. Akomms will supply accurate as-built records in a timely manner for our network build activities.
With the advent of PIA, where providers are able to utilise Openreach network infrastructure for their build, there is an additional requirement to submit records via the Openreach portal. This can be a complex task requiring specialist knowledge. At Akomms, we have the knowledge and experience to complete this aspect of any PIA build, as we have done many times before for our clients.
Overall Summary
To ensure a smooth delivery of Fibre-To-The-Home (FTTH), our team of experienced project managers, project coordinators, civil engineers, and cable engineers works on all PIA infrastructure in collaboration with clients, local governments, and the supply chain. They use their expertise from the outset of early engagement to closing out of the completed build.
We are set up to use a combination of direct workers and contracted partners to make sure the appropriate competent and trained engineers are deployed where they are needed.
The fibre blowing and splicing operations will be carried out to the highest standards, whether underground or overhead, by multi-disciplined cable engineers.
The team has a portfolio of completed builds that spans the UK. We have extensive expertise managing various construction projects providing large telecoms through a full turnkey operation traditional TRR, surveying, planning approval, cable pulling, cable blowing, splicing (ribbon fibre and loose tube), advanced fibre testing (OTDR including long distance, ILM, OLTS, PMD, CD), ERS call-outs, ground deploy, civils avoidance, overhead & underground activities are some of our specialties.
